Banter, Breakfasts, Buffets, and Banging food
That's the motto — and we stick to it. Big plates, loud laughs, and no pretending to be fancy. If you want quiet and posh, we're probably not your spot. If you want feeding properly with a bit of cheek, pull up a chair.

A bit about us
We used to be Rick's Snack Bar in Top Town Market. When the market shut, we weren't done — we opened up again on West St Mary's Gate as Rick's Rebrewed. Same food, same people, new name, and somehow even more chat.
It's Robbie and her mum Crystal running the place, with Rick still in the mix for the specials. We swear a bit, laugh a lot, and put proper food on the plate. Not everyone's cup of tea — and that's fine by us.
“We have a laugh, we have banter… that's what people come back for, (oh and the banging food)”
A few plates
Real plates from here — not stock photos. A few of these are weekly specials, so they might not be on when you come. What's on the board that day wins.
This week's lot
The plates above are a flavour of what turns up — weekly specials, not a forever menu. What's on this week lives on Facebook first.

We're biased (obviously). Here's a few bits from folk who've been in.
Food was outstanding, finally a place to come have food whilst having a laugh without there being a ton of snowflakes, proper British cafe with great prices.
Enjoyed a beautiful breakfast today, me and my son, great friendly staff, lovely and clean and fresh everything. thankyou. will definitley come again xx
we came in today. it was amazing could not fault a thing. they are really friendly aswell make you feel part of the family
Cracking fresh food at affordable prices. They will tailor the food to your liking (within reason) make you feel extremely welcome and part of the team. The only place we will eat when venturing in to town. Fantastic staff make the experience even better.
I used to eat at Riks stall when it was on the market, and on a return trip to Grimsby found out that Rik and his family had opened a cafe. I decided to go with my father for a birthday treat, and that it was. He had the pie, veg and potatoes and I had lasagne, chips and salad. The food was lovely, piping hot and definitely home cooked. Everything I remembered and more. I would highly recommend this quaint little cafe, for anyone wanting a reasonably priced, delicious, home cooked meal.
